Description: Two intermezzi, each around 40 minutes, make up this precursor to opera buffa which was first performed in 1754. The addition of a third character makes the transition to the latter even more evident as the light tenor and coloratura soprano (whose material is often worthy of the future genre) can now address each other as they make a fool of the comic baritone rather than the audience.
