Description: he only source for this probably north German lyra viol music is a bound book in the French National Library. The stylistic features cover the entire first two thirds of the 17th century. The material in it is mostly anonymous but there are connections with some obscure English gambists from the mid 17th century as well as quite a few transcriptions of Lutheran hymns.
