Description: This third complete Spohr symphony cycle is now complete and, the symphonies no longer needing any treatment from me, I'll just note that the third piece, probably a First Recording, is the most unusual filler of any on the cpo or Hyperion sets: a ten-minute waltz with two trios which Spohr himself said he wanted to compose "à la Strauss" (Johann, of course).
