Description: We offer this solely for the sonata in A, prepared from manuscript by these performers (the title, in the 13-year-old Britten's handwriting, claims it as his "Op. 42"!) for this recording. Only 9:32 in length (three movements), it could have been written in 1826 and reminds us that Britten was later to be a wonderful performer of Schubert's piano and chamber music... 2 CDs.
