GOFFREDO PETRASSI (1904-2003): Piano Concerto, Partita, For Solo Piano: Toccata, 8 Invenzioni.

Description: We've had the concerto just last month (03P011) and Partita (04O009) last April, both on Naxos, but the Invenzioni, from 1942/44, are not otherwise available. Lasting 23 minutes, these pieces alternate between a Bachian neo-classicism and modernism in the vein of Prokofiev, Shostakovich and the French Impressionists and represent the major part of Petrassi's total œuvre for solo piano.
