Description: Dessau, a life-long, unreconstructed Communist would probably have been quite comfortable driving the Trabant pictured on a dark East German street on the box cover. No one in Records International's sphere needs a detailed blurb on Dessau, so we note that two CDs are of orchestral music, one of piano, two of songs and the remaining seven are operas. All the cast members are listed in the short booklet which comes with the box and the three pages of notes on the composer and the music are supplemented by a 47-page booklet available on-line which also contains the German libretti to the operas. 12 CDs.
