Description: There's not a lot of Giannini out there these days but there's enough for you to know what to expect here: neo-Romanticism of the highest order, gorgeously melodic music ranging from extroverted brilliance to heartfelt lyricism, produced in the finest traditions of the Old World. These are world premiere recordings and we can tell you that the piano quintet was written in 1932 but not the date of the trio. Given that Giannini evolved from neo-romanticism to neo-classicism, it's safe to assume that the trio is still one of his earlier works. Musicians of the Manchester Music Festival.
