Description: Four rarely recorded Czech piano trios in a great coupling with Foerster's 1894 tribute to his dead daughter as calm and collected as his symphonic one was dark and tormented and also full of Bohemian melodic riches; Novák's youthful sturm und drang single-movement excersize in high Romanticism (1902); Fibich's similarly early (1872) trio, not as high-strung but still energetic, and the world premiere recording of a newly edited, four-movement version of Janacek's 1910-21 "Fairy Tale", which the composer himself revised five times and left many different manuscript versions behind. Kinsky Trio Prague. SACD hybrid.
