Description: Pre-Isaac Albéniz, Spanish piano music was pan-European in its style and, at the time most of these pieces were written, "pan-European" meant heavily influenced by Chopin. But there's Mendelssohn and Liszt around to and, in Quesada's two works, we have pieces demanding the height of technique (and some influences, as well, of Gottschalk in the etudes). Patrick Cohen (c. 1855 Erard fortepiano). Original 1995 release.
