GIACOMO CONTI (1754-1805): Violin Concerto No. 1 in E Flat, Op. 4 (Robert Nasciszewski [violin]), JOHANN RUDOLF ZUMSTEEG (1760-1802): Cello Concerto in A (Tomasz Strahl [cello]), JAN KRTITEL KRUMPHOLTZ (1742-1790): Harp Concerto No. 6, Op. 9 (Johanna Suranowicz [harp]).

Description: A lack of any notes concerning the works themselves prevents us from giving you dates of composition but, while some of you will have the two Clarton discs we offered almost a decade ago containing all the Krumpholtz concertos, it's unlikely you'll have run across Conti's or Zumsteeg's concerti. Like the Krumpholtz, they are attractively melodic, with a full orchestral complement including horns, often with highly virtuosic solo material but not really aspiring to anything but providing the audience with high-quality entertainment in high Classical style.
