Description: Kletzki’s 16-minute piece dates from 1930 and its monumental Introduction and elaborate Rondo demand both virtuosity and sensitivity to their wide emotional ranges. From 1956, Bargielski’s Neosonatina is a charming neo-classical work with hints of Prokofiev while the 14-minute Nocturne, composed in 1984, was inspired by the imposition of martial law in Poland on December 13, 1981 and has brooding and mournful/elegiac outer sections with a dream-like central section. Dominika Przech (violin), Adam Mikołaj Goździewski (piano).
