Description: All but one of these works are rarely performed and rarely recorded four-hands versions of well-known solo piano originals except the one which made us offer the disc: the Großes Konzertstück is a quite early piece from 1834, in Liszt's youthful style of extravagant virtuosity, which uses three pieces from Mendelssohn's Op. 19b: in order of appearance, 1, 6 "Venetianisches Gondellied" and 3. This material is the source for an 18-minute display changing their original intimate character into a grandstanding work for the large stage. Piano Duo Genova & Dimitrov.
