Description: The theme of this collection is "Schumann and his Daughters", meaning the three youngest, Julie, Elise and Marie, for whom this material was written or collected (the Gang is a set of eight pieces taken from works by Bach, Handel, Gluck, Mozart, Beethoven, Weber and Schubert and made suitable for children to play). There are over 11 pages of English notes (by Schumann scholar Joachim Draheim) and even biographies of the three daughters, all of which make fascinating reading. The first recordings total 1:57.
