Description: These are the fruits of a recent investigation into the music written by the cantors at three Berlin-Cölln area churches; the pieces by the five composers (who, as you can see from their dates, are not all particularly well-attested in the sources), cover over 100 years from 1582 to 1690 and Henningsen's two cantatas, part of the Berlin Singakademie archive returned from Soviet war-booty imprisonement only a decade or so ago, are among the earliest works of their genre.
