Description: This Polish virtuoso wrote his first trio of Capriccios in 1817-18 in preparation for his first meeting with Paganini, to whom they're dedicated. The second batch, which take over 41 minutes as opposed to the first set's 32, date from 1830-33 when Lipinsky was adding the influences of Spohr and Viotti to create rich expression and tone in addition to spectacular runs and double-stopping.
