Description: Only three months after Vol. 6 comes its successor! The extremes of Telemann's stylistic spectrum are on view, from the early, little, seven-minute oboe concerto, entirely without ritornelli and dating from his time in Eisenach (1708-12) to the extended, 18-minute concerto for recorder and bassoon from 1721 when he was in his early prime in Hamburg. The rare chalumeau gets two double concertos, one with Polish folk elements and the horn concerto is a rare example in this composer's music of deliberate, diabolically difficult writing for the soloist.
