Description: The three concertos on this recording outline Romberg’s development from the early Haydn- and Mozart-influenced Concertos Nos. 4 and 9, composed in 1786 and 1795 respectively, to No. 12 which is already impacted by Beethoven. Romberg work at least 20 violin concertos but the increasing popularity of the French violin school and the concerti of Rode and Rodolphe Kreutzer eclipsed his own entirely. Chouchane Siranossian (violin), Capriccio Baroque Orchestra.
