Description: 99 minutes of World Premiere Recordings (*) highlight this two-hour and 24-minute final volume of Smetana's piano works. Everything here dates from either 1845 or 1846 when he was engaged in private compositional studies, producing these pieces with classical techniques but in the phraseology of contemporaries such as Schumann, Chopin and Liszt. In addition to the already recorded 30-minute sonata of 1846, there are also three pieces in sonata form from the same year which total 19 minutes and give us, in effect, a second Smetana work in the genre. 2 CDs. Jitka Cechová (piano).
