Description: We're in the presence of less-recorded Moeran here: In the Mountain Country and the first two Rhapsodies date from 1921-24 and all use either original material in folk style or actual folk song melodies while the third Rhapsody, from 1943 and written for Harriet Cohen, is more popular in style, as befits a Proms commission (as is the Overture, from the following year).
