Description: The Op. 83 trio is likely Onslow's last composition and it's his most immediately memorable, heartfelt in its Mendelssohnian Romanticism and gently melancholy and, at 31 minutes, longer than most of his works in this genre. The Beethovenian work from op. 3 dates from around 1808 and is a signpost on the way to the early maturity represented in the works on the release below. Trio Cascades.
