Catalogue Number: 01R048
Description: If you particularly like four-hand versions of large-scale orchestral works, they don’t get much larger scale than this. The young Walter, Mahler’s assistant at the time of the Resurrection’s premiere in Berlin, prepared this precise and imaginative “reduction for piano” soon afterwards (1898) in close collaboration with the composer. Maasa Nakazawa, Suhrud Athavale (piano four hands).
