Description: As you can see, Bach’s second cousin also wrote quite a few chorale settings (although only around a quarter of what Bach wrote himself) and the transcribed concerto was also popular with him. If you like the North German organ tradition from Buxtehude to Bach seasoned with a bit of Italian sunshine, this big set should fill the bill. (The organist has already recorded the complete organ works of Buxtehude, Reincken and Böhm and Froberger’s next, so one can’t accuse him of being lazy.) 12 CDs. Simone Stella (organ of Sant’Antonio Abate, Padua).
