Description: In these World Premiere Recordings (see note below) made from a just-published of manuscripts in the Prussian State Library in Berlin, we not only find Benda approaching C.P.E. Bach in the sensitivity and expressiveness of the Empfindsamkeit style, but also an insight into contemporary ornamentation: each of these 34 sonatas comes with fully written-out "improvisations". NOTE: Two of these sonatas were on the Naxos release which we offered two months ago (11N029). That disc was not part of a planned series, so we leave what to do up to you...
