Description: Eight world premiere recordings of music by Australian-born composers - five living blokes, four dead blokes and one dead sheila, to use the vernacular. Of the living, one might point out the intense energy of Koehne's Gothic Toccata and the otherworldly, ethereal Dawn Canticle by Edwards. The big Romantic piece is Hart's 12-minute Fantasia from 1912 while for fun, there are organist Bowman's transcriptions of a little piano piece by Hill (with cool organ special effects) and a song by Batchelor. Calvin Bowman (Grand organ of Melbourne Town Hall).
