Catalogue Number: 01L031
Description: The English Beethoven scholar Barry Cooper finally, in 1994, managed to transcribe all of Beethoven's handwritten annotations in the outer movements of the copyist's score of the Fourth concerto. A lot more notes, making it a lighter and more sparkling work; Czerny described his teacher's performance of the concerto in 1808 as very "capricious" and said that he played a lot more notes than were in the printed score. Here they mostly are for diehard Beethoven collectors. Ronald Brautigam (piano), Norrköping Symphony Orchestra; Andrew Parrott.
