Description: Scarlatti's late chamber music is really getting recorded these days, this latest being a group of recorder sonatas from manuscripts in Naples and Münster (undated, but all his instrumental music comes after 1710) and, like all the rest, acting as a guardian of the sacred tradition of counterpoint (although there are attractive enough melodies though everything is tinged with a hint of world-weary melancholy). Les Boréades; Francis Colpron (recorder).
