Description: Two much-loved orchestral favorites representing the summit of Elgar’s maturity are coupled with three of the lesser-known wartime works, here receiving their first recordings with the original French texts. Making up the rest of an 82-minte disc is a 1908 song for voice and piano converted into an orchestral miniature with clarinet taking the voice part. French-English texts.
