Description: The notes call Molter “the most Italian of the German composers of his time” and that is everywhere evident in the sunny, golden tones of these works; even the Christmas-time Concerto Pastorale has a ruddy, snow-free warmth to it. Rare in this repertoire, natural trumpets are used rather than the more common Baroque trumpets, and what a different sound they have! Jean-François Madeuf (natural trumpet and natural horn), Musica Fiorita; Daniela Dolci (harpsichord, organ).
