Description: Repertoire repetition is really moving fast in Weinberg but this latest in cpo’s series has the first modern recording of the Tenth Symphony of 1968 on a label we can get: in baroque suite form, it’s among the composer’s most stylistically advanced music with tone row experimentation (which Shostakovich was also doing around the same time) and some mildly aleatoric passages; the mood is mostly fierce and tense.
