Description: The op. 18 trio of 1924, is a full-length, 31-minute work of post-Romanticism notable for Gál's harmonic freedom and polyrhythmic creativity while the 1949 work was a commission from a Viennese publisher for Hausmusik, designed for students or amateurs of moderate capabilities but never sounding like "easy music" thanks to the composer's skill and professionalism. The six-minute set of variations on a tune heard in a Viennese wine-bar is a jeu d'esprit from 1914. Doris Adam (piano), Karin Adam (violin), Christoph Stradner (cello).
