Description: Two groups of collectors will be glad to see this series: those who just bought Supraphon's budget-priced box who got to read in its notes about all the orchestral pieces not included there; and the many customers who have special-ordered various volumes of Noseda's Chandos Liszt cycle (presumably due to really good reviews somewhere). This series will probably be as complete as possible and this first volume offers the very rare Grand Overture from 1848, an eight-minute work inspired by the revolutions of that year and, musically, by Berlioz' visit to Prague in 1846. BBC Philharmonic; Gianandrea Noseda.
