ROBERT SCHUMANN (1810-1856): Piano Quintet in E Flat, Op. 44 (arr. Clara Schumann [1819-1896]), Bilder aus Osten, Op. 66.

Description: The 1842 quintet, published on Clara's birthday and containing symbols relating to their relationship, was transcribed by her the year after her husband's death in such a way as to make it a wholly legitimate new work for piano duo.  Whether it's been recorded before I don't know but it was never republished after Breitkopf first issued it 150 years ago.
