Description: Koechlin's 1934 Confidences, now getting its third recording on CD (although here there are only 14 of its 18 movements - the part for recitation is gone) was for a 50-minute film made up of dialogue and musical insertions based on a short story about a love triangle involving a clarinettist, his female cousin and his best friend Waldhorn (a horn player, of course). The two Martinu pieces are quite rare and the arragement of Nielsen's Canto serioso (originally for horn and piano) is entertaining; the little, two-minute Berio arrangement delightful. Radek Baborák (horn), Wenzel Fuchs (clarinet), Baborak Ensemble.
