Description: One of the main exponents of the Romantic guitar, Coste also wrote a number of pieces for oboe, some with guitar accompaniment, others with the accompaniment of the piano or the harp. The Concertino and the Sonata, of 14 and 17 minutes are the two ample pieces here while the remaining three compositions are classic morceaux caractéristiques, perfectly suited to the rich vein of salon pieces in vogue in the Paris of the day. Enrico Calcagni (oboe), Sonia Ballarin (piano).
