Description: World Premiere Recordings of 22 minutes of early Barber (1920-26), pieces only published in 2010 in association with the composer's centenary. Mostly quite and late romantic in style, they show the young composer gradually making progress both before and two years after entering the Curtis Institute at the age of 14. Eleven score reproductions and seven photographs supplement quite decent notes; a first-class package delivered by an Italian label normally devoted to its own country's composers. Giampaolo Nuti (piano), Daniela De Santis (duet).
