Description: Our second Lessel-Dobrzynski disc in two months, this time with piano and wind chamber music, sandwiched around an early, neo-classical Kilar work from 1954, when he was still under the influence of Stravinsky and Bartók. The Lessel (1806), elegant and Mozartian, and the Dobrzynski (mid 1840s) early Romantic and tuneful - its first movement's main theme might make you think of Rimsky's quintet for piano and winds. Roman Widaszek (clarinet), Tadeusz Tomaszewski (horn), Joanna Domanska (piano).
