Description: Nowowiejski was primarily an organist and organ improvisation is reflected in three compositions which directly refer to Christmas by quotations from Polish Christmas carols which often have a pastoral feel to them. The symphony itself is based on a sacred song and its central movement is a colorful representation, with impressionistic colors, of the miraculous events at Lourdes.
