Description: Every decade or so, it seems, another recording of these pieces, almost identically coupled, comes out to replace the previous ones which are now out of print. So, if you don't have Molique's dramatic Concertino (of uncertain date but Beethoven and Spohr both sound near), or Rietz's lyrical Mendelssohnian Konzertstück or Kalliwoda's sprightly and lyrical Concertino of 1844, then there's no reason to hesitate. Thomas Indermühle (oboe), Estonian National Symphony Orchestra; Milan Turkovic.
