Description: Bohemian Guretzky would have been a perfect fir for Supraphon’s “Music from 18th Century Prague” series except that he wrote these concertos in Germany from 1735-38 when he was in the service of a cello-mad Bavarian count. The very virtuosic and demanding violin concerto may have been written for Pisendel in Dresden c.1740. The Harmonious Society of Tickle-Fiddle Gentlemen.
